I live in Tennessee. My daughter moved with her husband and her 5 year old daughter to California.

My granddaughter and I have a great relationship. I sent her a rice necklace with her name and "Beebaw" on the other side (that is what she calls me) along with a heart.

She loves the necklace and wears it all the time.
I told her not to worry if she losses it because I can always send her another one.

Great idea for a summer camp!

I am a camp director of a summer day camp. The counselors are not paid a whole lot and I wanted to show my appreciation for them. I got each of them (18 counselors) a personalized necklace (I splurged and got the leather necklace) with their name on one side and the camp name on the other.

I gave them the necklace 2 weeks into camp. The loved it and most started wearing them to camp. Some of the campers saw them and we decided to give some out to campers as a prize for certain events. I contacted the freericenecklace people and told them that when I place an order for a personalized necklace that I need it fast because we want to give them out BEFORE camp ends. They were very accommodating. Every necklace arrived 3 days after the order.

This was for last years camp. I don’t think I will place an order this year because many counselor are the same as the year before but I will probably repeat the idea next year.

When I was 8 years old my mother bought me a rice necklace with my name on a grain of rice as a gift while on vacation. I loved that necklace and wore it all the time.
I am 32 now and have since lost the one she got me. I got new one for myself and my 8 year old girl for her birthday from the free rice necklace web site. I got the same color I had when I was a kid (blue). My daughter loves it just as much as I did.

I have 3 girls ages 4, 6 and 10. My wife and I separated about a year ago and girls get to live with her.

Anyway, I really cherish the time when I get to see my kids. I like to give them a little something when I see them and I put a lot of thought into it.
